Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is an AI tool that utilizes large language models (LLMs) and integrates data with Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Currently, the university has access to the Microsoft Copilot browser version, which you can log into using your university login.

Benefits of being logged in

Logged-in users of Microsoft Copilot have several advantages. These include access to a more powerful model, the ability to have longer conversations with AI, and especially enhanced data protection. When you log in with a student or employee account, Copilot provides commercial data protection - meaning your data is better protected and not shared with third parties.

How to log in?

  1. Search copilot.microsoft.com or click here: copilot.microsoft.com

  2. In the right hand corner click on Sign in

  3. Select Sign in with a student or work account

  4. For logging into Microsoft, type in your student or work email

  5. For logging into CAS, type in your CAS login.

  6. Log in.

After logging into Microsoft Copilot, there should be a green icon in the top right corner indicating that your data is protected.
