We are monitoring the availability of ChatGPT Edu, Claude, and Gemini chatbots; however, none of their providers have given us an acceptable offer so far. This issue also affects other universities. Additionally, we are cautious about making bulk purchases of expensive subscriptions, as past experiences from Palacký University in Olomouc (which acquired the DeepL translator) have shown that a significant portion of users either do not use the purchased subscription at all or only minimally. At the same time, those who do not receive access tend to be highly dissatisfied.

For this reason, we are testing an open-source application under the working name AI Sandbox. The user group for the pilot testing is currently closed.

At present, we recommend using team subscriptions such as ChatGPT Team or Claude Team, as these generally ensure that submitted data is not used for further model training. Please always review the terms of service. Note that for ChatGPT Plus, data training must be manually disabled (click the gear icon in the top right > Settings > Data controls > Improve the model for everyone > toggle off).
