Availability The license is available for employees of Charles University, not for students. The cost is approximately 500 CZK per month (depending on the current USD exchange rate and Microsoft's pricing). To obtain a license, please contact your faculty's M365 Office administrator.

Grammarly A digital tool for checking English spelling that uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
Availability Licenses are provided based on requests from students or employees of Charles University, and the assigned licenses are recorded as library loans. Currently, Charles University has 895 licenses available, which can be used by registered readers through the central search engine UKAŽ. More info

GitHub Copilot (for academics and students) GitHub Copilot is an AI-powered coding assistant that helps programmers write code more efficiently. It integrates with popular code editors and provides real-time code suggestions, auto-completion, and even entire code snippets based on the context you are working in. .
Availability GitHub Copilot is available for free only to students and educators at Cuni (not for administrative staff). Sign in here/Create a personal account.After creating a personal (free) account, you will be prompted at the bottom of the page to submit an application, where you will need to enter the name of your university. Sign in using your university email address.

Availability Technical and administrative staff are not covered by the EDU license, and unfortunately GitHub does not provide free access to this tool. A license can be obtained in one of the following two ways: Purchase a Pro license for an individual The license is available for roughly 200CZK per month (excluding VAT), depending on the current USD exchange rate and Microsoft’s price list. Note: This ordering method does not allow you to issue an invoice (e.g., for faculty accounting purposes). →Create a personal account →Activate a trial Pro license →After the trial month, purchase a Pro license here. Purchase a Business license for the institution (workplace) Setting up an Enterprise account for the institution costs about 440 CZK per month. Each individual Copilot Business license under that account costs about 400 CZK per month. Metacentrum Cesnet Tools As a member of a research organization, you can apply for access to Metacentrum. This grants you access to various tools and services The application should be available to all applicants from Charles University. Once your application is approved, you can start using tools such as:
JupyterHub Provides users with access to shared virtual computing resources without the burden of installation and maintenance tasks. JupyterHub can be used to run various user interfaces, including Jupyter Notebook, Jupyter Lab, and RStudio, for programming in Python or R. Additionally, thanks to access to the virtual machine terminal, it allows the use of other Linux-based tools, including LLM management tools like Ollama.

OneTutor OneTutor allows teachers to upload teaching materials to the tool and lets students “chat” with those materials. The tool also has the ability to generate quizzes.
Availability The tool is currently in a testing phase and is available only for courses of certain members of the Generative AI working group at Charles University. If you would like to test the tool or learn more about it, please contactai@cuni.cz. The web page for the tool can be found here.

AI Sandbox AI Sandbox is a chatbot for safe interaction with various artificial‑intelligence models. The data you provide is not used to train these models. It enables chatting with AI models, creating simple assistant “code interpreter” bots, and running code.
Availability The application is in a pilot phase. Priority access is given to members of the working groups (Broad Working Group on Generative AI; Generative AI at Charles University; UISK Research Group). For more information, please contact ai@cuni.cz.
