Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council is laying down harmonised rules on artificial intelligence and it provides clear requirements and obligations related to specific uses of artificial intelligence to the developers and administrators of artificial intelligence.
The AI Act is the very first comprehensive legal framework for artificial intelligence in the world. The aim of the new rules is to support trustworthy artificial intelligence in Europe by ensuring that AI systems respect fundamental rights, safety, and ethical principles.
Central library of Charles University, under the patronage of Mgr. et Mgr. David Hurný will be tackling the tasks related to the implementation of the AI ACT at the university during the year 2025.
